As part of the preparatory works for the organization of the Rabat 2019 African Games to hold from August 19th to 31st, 2019, several meetings in relation to the event have been convened in Rabat.
In this connection, the Rabat 2019 African Games Organizing Committee of (RAGOC) organized two press conferences. Mr. Rachid Talbi Alami, Minister of Youth and Sports, chaired the first conference, on January 29th, 2019 in Rabat, on the progress of preparations for the 2019 African Games, in the presence of Mrs. Mariama Cisse Mohamed, Director for Social Affairs of the African Union, Mr. Mustapha Berraf, President of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa, Mr. Ahmed Nasser Kamal Mohamed, President of the Association of African Sports Confederations, and Kamal Lahlou, Vice-President of the Moroccan Olympic Committee. The second press conference was held on February 28th, 2019 in Rabat.
Between January 28th and 30th, 2019 Rabat also hosted the first joint meeting of the African Union (AU), the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), the Association of African Sports Confederations (AASC) and the Rabat 2019 African Games Organizing Committee of (RAGOC). Also, visits to competition venues and sports facilities took place in the cities hosting the 2019 Africa Games. Chefs de mission of African delegations inspected the competition venues, training facilities, the Rabat 2019 African Games Village, and the accommodation venues.
