As part of the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco to host the 12th edition of the African Games Rabat 2019, organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI God assist him, the Organizing Committee of the African Games Rabat 2019 (COJAR), organized this Monday, July 15, 2019 in Rabat, a press conference and this in partnership with the African Union, the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and the Union of African Sports Confederations ( UCSAs).
Chaired by Mr. Rachid TALBI ALAMI, this press conference aims at the official launch of the 12th edition of the 2019 Rabat African Games while highlighting the progress made in the preparations provided by COJAR and the different partners to better organize this continental sporting event.
Regarding the sports disciplines programmed in this edition, the President of COJAR pointed out that the 6396 athletes expected in this edition, will compete in 29 sports disciplines including 17 qualifiers To Tokyo 2020, the cities hosting the competitions are Casablanca, Rabat, Sale, Temara, Benslimane and El Jadida.
It should be noted that the press conference was marked by the presentation of the mascot, the unveiling of the medals, and the stamp of the Games, the latter was presented in the presence of the Director General of “Poste du Maroc”.
